These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of https://darksweeper.com/ (the "Service"), operated by the operator of DarkSweeper ("we", "us", "our"), an individual based in Finland.

DarkSweeper is a free online minesweeper game offering single-player and multiplayer modes. The Service is provided as a personal hobby project and is not a commercial enterprise. There are no uptime guarantees, service level agreements, or support commitments.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 13, please do not use the Service.

When using the multiplayer feature, your chosen display name and game actions are visible to all other players in the room. You are solely responsible for your chosen display name and conduct. We reserve the right to moderate, restrict, or remove any content or user that violates these Terms. There is no expectation of privacy in multiplayer game rooms.
All source code, visual design, artwork, game mechanics, and other copyrightable materials comprising the Service are the property of the operator and are protected by applicable copyright law. No license is granted to copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the Service or its materials, except for the limited right to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes as intended.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we expressly disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or available at any particular time or location. We do not warrant the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any game mechanics, scores, records, or leaderboards. Your use of the Service is at your sole risk.

The Service is provided free of charge. The operator's total aggregate liability for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed zero euros (EUR 0).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, the operator's liability shall be limited to the minimum extent permitted by applicable law.

The Service relies on third-party infrastructure providers, including Vercel (hosting) and Cloudflare (multiplayer server). We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or data practices of these third-party services. Any links to external websites do not constitute endorsement, and we accept no responsibility for their content or practices.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service. We are under no obligation to maintain, support, or update the Service.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be highlighted on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, please discontinue use of the Service.
We may terminate or restrict your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without prior notice or liability. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Finland.
EU consumer rights: if you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you retain all mandatory rights granted by the laws of your country of residence, including the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your home jurisdiction pursuant to Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012 (Brussels Ia).
Alternative dispute resolution: consumers in Finland may also submit disputes to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta) at kuluttajariita.fi. The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, shall be severed. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the operator regarding the Service, and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications.
